Veterens Carpet One Floor & Home in Denver, CO is making a difference halfway around the globe through their support of two programs aimed at empowering African youth and indigenous people to initiate positive social and economic change in their own lives and communities.

The first is the Elias Fund. As a grassroots organization, the Elias Fund focuses on indigenous empowerment to alleviate poverty from the bottom-up. This happens via strategic partnerships with Zimbabwean community organizations. Currently, EF’s three partner organizations utilize education, food aid and micro-grants as poverty alleviating tools. To learn more about the Elias Fund, please visit EliasFund.org.

The second organization is Come Let’s Dance. Come, Let’s Dance was established in 2006 by a group of friends from Colorado with a heart for Africa. They strive to use the resources, talents, and voice They’ve been given to help the world and are dedicated to working alongside a community in Kampala, Uganda. Learn more about Come Let’s Dance at their website, ComeLetsDance.org.

Veterens Carpet One Floor & Home Operations Manager, Adam Welbon, has made trips to Africa through these organizations and continues to coordinate support.
